#NorthNatomasJoyProject

North Natomas Jibe and Councilmember Lisa Kaplan are excited to announce a unique public art project that aims to showcase the joy and diversity of North Natomas. In this project, community members will be featured on pole banners on Natomas Central Drive and North Park Drive, representing the heart and soul of our collective identity.

Theme: In late September, we invited high school students to participate in the project by coming together to lend their ideas on what it means to live in North Natomas and underscore the strength of the collective diversity where we live. They brainstormed common understandings of joy and what living in North Natomas means to them, and from that we developed our project theme: Joy – what brings our community happiness? What makes living here special?

We're seeking: Real North Natomas residents of all ages, ethnicity, and backgrounds.

How to Participate:

  1. Background: Send us information and photos about yourself such as your culture, the hobbies that bring you joy, and how your experiences as a resident of North Natomas embodies the spirit of our community.
  2. Quote: Share a short quote or statement summarizing why you love living here and what makes our community special. This quote may be featured on the backside of the light pole banner.

Deadline for submissions has now passed. Watch this page for updates!
