As workers return to the office and commute costs continue to increase, North Natomas Jibe has partnered with Commute with Enterprise to offer a sustainable shared mobility option: vanpooling. To reduce expenses for North Natomas commuters, we'll cover part of the vanpool cost, with the remaining share split among participants (or your employer).  Each rider pays on a monthly basis, and Enterprise handles coordination, tech, vehicles, insurance, maintenance, and roadside help – 24/7.

Share the ride and slash stress, traffic, and costs!

Vanpool FAQs

What is a vanpool?

A vanpool is a group of 5-15 people who commute to and from work together in a 7-15 passenger Enterprise vehicle.

How do I get started?

Complete Commute with Enterprise’s short interest form with the days and times you want to commute and they will get back to you by 3 business days. Click Here for details and the interest form.

What’s the commitment?

There is no commitment to complete the interest form and you do not have to accept suggestions for initial matches. But if you do enter into a vanpool agreement, in most cases, driver(s) and riders make a month-to-month commitment. You may leave the vanpool by giving the driver/coordinator the requested notice (usually 30 days).

Who drives the van?

The vanpool participants themselves work out a driving schedule. There may be one primary driver with a designated back-up driver, or everyone rotates the driving responsibilities.

Is a special license required?

No

What happens if I have to work late, or have an emergency?

If you’re the driver, be sure to let fellow vanpoolers know your situation as soon as possible so they can make alternate arrangements. If you're a passenger traveling on a Jibe Vanpool, you can use Jibe’s Guaranteed Ride Home program. This program helps to get you home in an emergency on a day that you carpool, vanpool, take the bus, or ride a bike at no cost to you.
