Jibe offers free Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) fare to people who live or work in North Natomas. Qualified participants with a NorCal Go account start with 10 free rides per month, loaded directly in their Zip Pass account on the first workday of each month. Ten additional tickets are available each month thereafter. Participants must use their current tickets before they can receive more.
Here's how it works:
- Download the Zip Pass app.
You'll access your free rides through this app. Make sure your Zip Pass account uses the same email address as your NorCal Go account. - Create or log into your NorCal GO account.
NorCal Go is JIbe's rewards platform. Sign up or log in to see available offers. - Claim the "Free Transit Pass" reward.
If you qualify, the offer will be in the Rewards tab under Featured. You must claim the reward before 5 pm on the monthly deadline (last workday of the month). - Wait for your confirmation email.
SacRT will send you a confirmation email with the subject line: “Passes have been distributed to your inventory.” (Check your spam folder just in case.) This email typically arrives on the first weekday of the month. - Access your tickets
Open the Zip Pass app and go to the Available Tickets section to find your free rides - typically on the first weekday of the month. - Want more free rides the following month?
Once you've used your rides, you'll be eligible to claim the reward again the following month.
What is Zip Pass?
Zip Pass is SacRT's mobile fare app. You can use it to buy, store, and activate SacRT tickets for both bus and light rail.
How to Use ZipPass:
- Open your ZipPass app before you board a bus or train.
- Navigate to the Available tab.
- Tap to select a ticket for activation.
- Tap Activate at the bottom of the screen.
- Present your active pass to the bus operator or transit ambassador.
